Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food with my family.

New York

New York

New York has always had a special place in my heart ever since my nannying days right after High School. Living in Connecticut had so many perks, but one of my favorites was having the city so close. I remember going in at least once a month to stroll around, try new restaurants or catch a new broadway play. I have such fond memories of those years being somewhat of a small town girl lost in the big city. When I started having kids I knew this was a place that I wanted them to know and visit often. 2 years ago we took the boys for the 1st time and I fell in love with the city all over again. I remembered the little things that I had missed so dearly such as those street food vendors. It was always a successful trip when I had a warm bag of almonds to snack on as I wandered around the city. The almond and cashews are packaged in these tiny bags with a smell that filled up the whole corner of the block. I just love everything about that smell. Not to mention all of the thousands of things you can do in the city. I swear you could spend an entire year in that city and still find things to see and do. Here are some highlights from our most recent trips to New York City.
