Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food with my family.

Summer slipped through my fingers

Summer slipped through my fingers

Well hello friends :) I'm Back! It took a minute but I finally have (way to many!) photos to share with you. This summer was busy, fun, crazy, stressful and exciting all wrapped into one, hence the hiatus for the last couple of months. We were able to take some great trips out West and had extended family around which is always so fun.

One of my favorite spots we stopped at was Yellowstone National Park. I grew up not too far from Yellowstone and remember going there as a child, it is one of my fondest memories so I was excited to be able to share it with my own kids. I specifically remember seeing Old Faithful (a geyser) with my siblings and remembering the smell of rotten eggs (from the sulfur) when It went off. Seeing it again with my own kids was definitely a highlight of the trip and yes after all of this time it still has the same rotten egg smell.

I posted my favorite highlights of all the different places and activities that we loved. Hope you enjoy!

Mrs. Doubtfire steps in San Francisco, California

Golden Gate Bridge San Francisco, California I seriously can't get enough of all the fog! It was amazing!

Salt Flats, Utah

There is the cutest vintage book store in Salt Lake City, Utah with these outdoor bookshelves. It is incredible. I could have stayed and looked through those books and browsed those shelves for hours. The kids however had a different plan with the books. We didn't last long.

Lake Tahoe, California  The views and crystal clear water are just breathtaking.

Double rainbow in Boise, Idaho

Olive and her cousin Finley (only two weeks apart) they are the best of friends. I love watching them together.

Maguire making sure he is tall enough for the drop off slides. He was standing so straight and slightly on his tippy toes. He passed.

Pinecrest Chalet, California   An outdoor movie in the woods, along the lake, was a perfect ending to a fun filled day with family. Really you guys this place is beautiful and couldn't have asked for better company.

While in Utah we borrowed my mother-in-laws scooter to cruise around the salt flats. We had the place to ourselves and the boys had a blast cruising around. Thanks Rick and Julie!

West Yellowstone, Wyoming    This kid is a fish, always in the water.

One of my favorite views in San Francisco, California (Full House)

(Fire Hole) Yellowstone, Wyoming

This summer we went to a ballon glow where they had these giant balls that you could climb into and run around, basically you were a hamster running around in a ball. It was so hot I couldn't wait to get out.

Kayaking the only way he knows how... Lounging. I thought my arms were going to fall off but as long as he was cozy i guess we are good.

Olive LOVES the beach, well she loves to eat the sand while sitting on the beach. so that counts right?!:)

This tube was huge and could easily fit 6-8 people. We were very cozy lounging on that un-flipable raft.  I could also stand up and touch the bottom throughout most of the river so everyone was well taken care of.  We had the best time.

This place is incredible. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

This picture is something I will always cherish. Trents 92 year old Grandpa is the sweetest man I have ever met, Olive couldn't stop smiling at him and sat on his lap for a good 20 minutes. It was such a tender moment.

Lava Hot Springs, Idaho

We went to the local fair and had the best time. The laughter coming from their little bodies as the swings went higher was so fun to listen too.

We blessed my little niece Cascade while we were in Boise. I was so glad we were able to be there and slip in a picture of my sisters and one of my three brothers.

Picking wild flowers while watching Bison in Yellowstone, Wyoming

West Yellowstone, you are absolutely breathtaking

We tried to squeeze in every free second we had in the pool. I just love summer.

AVP Tournament in Chicago

Out of all the pictures that were taken this Summer, this photo is my favorite. Our Sweet Aiden chose to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We had the opportunity to be surrounded by family and friends in the outdoors. It was such an incredible experience, one I hope Aiden will always remember.

St. Joseph, Michigan  Round 2

My Olive, she like to eat more than play. My kind of girl;)

Vintage general store in Utah, they even had penny candies!

AlI i can think of when I see this sign is the movie Sister Act with Whoopi Goldberg. I seriously used to watch that movie over and over with my sisters! Ha!

My sister who I like to call super mom sleeping by two of her three sweet boys.

I love this picture of Trent smiling and Olives little hand wrapped around his neck. These two have the sweetest relationship. I love watching them together.
